I. Introduction/How to Qualify for Federal Grant Opportunities (8:00am-9:00am)
The following session will cover the steps necessary to qualify for Federal Funding Opportunities, such as Grants and Federal Contracting. Additionally, the session will further discuss the types of organizations that qualify for Federal Grant Opportunities, and how individual organizations can legitimately increase their chances of submitting a winning proposal.
II. Federal Grant Structures/What Makes a Winning Grant? (9:10am-10:00am)
The following session will cover Federal grant competition structures across various competitions, in order to provide a basis for understanding general Federal grant writing content requirements. Furthermore, participants will also learn from a Federal Grant Reviewer, what Federal Reviewers look for, and the methods utilized by high scoring and successful applicants.
III. Applied Research, Tools, and Presentation (10:00am-11:00am)
The following session will discuss what paperwork is needed before compiling a grant. Also, participants will receive practical research tools, tips, and tricks for obtaining valuable information and resources necessary to compile a winning grant application. Furthermore, participants will also learn about resources and methods for compiling data visually.
IV. Federal/Non-federal Funding Opportunities (11:00am-12:00pm)
The following session will contain specific opportunities, as well as numerous resources for discovering Federal and Non-federal Funding Opportunities, as well as methodologies for engaging with prospective funding sources and project partners locally, statewide, and globally to collaboratively pursue Federal opportunities.
REGISTRATION POLICY: The paid registration of participants is required in order to solidify placement in the course. Registration will be limited to 15 participants maximum, and will close to further participation upon all spots being filled on a first-come first-served basis.
